Continued - Pandemic Impact: Admissions & Entrance exams rescheduled

Continuing from the earlier part of this article series, here are some more details of exams that are impacted due to the Pandemic. Please do leave a comment if you need any details of exams mentioned here in this article (or those that have not been included in the article series).

IIM (Indore)'s FIVE YEAR Integrated Program in Management (Aptitude Test) (IPMAT) 2020 is an entrance exam (first of the 3 round selection process consisting of written test and personal interview) for admitting candidates (sanctioned in-take of 150 seats) meant essentially for students who have passed Class 12 / Higher Secondary or equivalent from schools across India. The selection process involves scrutiny of application form to evaluate candidate's academic background, extra curricular activity-profile, aptitude exam to test profiency in logical reasoning, english & mathematics, followed by written ability test & personal interview. The successful admitted candidates would be able to pursue 5 year integrated program at the Indian Institute of Management Indore (launched first in 2011, first of its kind program in India).

All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2020 is an All India based Entrance exam for securing admissions in B.A. LL. B (honours), LLM and PhD programs at National Law University, Delhi. This entrance exam is a pre-requisite for the 110 seats sanctioned for B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) - Five-Year Programme, 70 seats sanctioned for LL.M. - One-Year Programme and 8 seats sanctioned for Ph.D. - Programme.

National Entrance Screening Test (NEST)

It is a compulsory national entrance test for students seeking admission to National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai - Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS), Mumbai. 

IGNOU - OPEN Management Aptitude Test (IGNOU OPENMAT) 2020

This is a pan India national examination, a pre-requisite to apply to MBA and PhD Programmes at IGNOU. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is entrusted to conduct the Entrance examinations of IGNOU's PhD and MBA (OPENMAT) programmes on behalf of Indira Gandhi National Open University.

Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) 2020 is State Government of Maharashtra's entrance exam is conducted by State Common Entrance Test Cell as per the Section 10 of the Maharashtra Unaided Private Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions and Fees) Act, 2015 to aspiring candidates seeking admission into state government, aided and unaided institutions operating in the State of Maharashtra. This MHT CET is a pre-requisite for anyone seeking admissions into:

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2020 is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency annually. It is considered the most important medical exam as it offers admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, Veterinary, and other medical/paramedical courses in India.

Management Aptitude Test (MAT) 2020 is a national-level exam to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied programmes conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA). It is conducted in offline (paper based test) as well as online (computer based test) mode and is accepted for the admissions to the MBA/PGDM courses in about 600+ Business Schools across India.

Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) 2020 is the common entrance examination for admission to various Undergraduate / Postgraduate Level Professional Courses in the State of Odisha. Public notice dated April 14, 2020 has stated as follows: In continuation to earlier OJEE notifications, it is hereby announced that in view of the extension of lockdowns recently declared by the Central and the State Govt. to check the spread of COVID -19 (coronavirus), OJEE – 2020, originally scheduled in the 1 st week of May, 2020, is postponed till further notice. The detailed schedule regarding revised dates of the Examination (OJEE – 2020) and related activities like Online Submission of Application Forms and Downloading of Admit Cards etc. will be notified, in due course of time, on assessment of the prevailing situation.

Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) conducts an entrance exam for admission of candidates to Medical Courses like MD/MS, PDCC/PDF, MDS at JIPMER, Pondicherry

Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER) 2020 This is national-level online exam conducted by the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research. This is a pre-requisite to join the MD (Doctor of Medicine) / MS (Master in Surgery) courses at PGIMER to begin in July 2020.
