Admissions

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a highly competitive exam conducted annually in India by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and the seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). It is a gateway to some of the top government and private engineering colleges in the country and is a crucial step for many students who want to pursue a successful career in engineering.

GATE PASS PERCENTAGE:

Every year around 15 lakhs students complete their Engineering Degree in India but only 6-7 Lakhs students appear for GATE every year. Only 15% of those students crack GATE i.e., score above 25 Marks.

ELIGIBILITY FOR GATE :

To be eligible for the GATE exam, students must have a bachelor's degree in engineering or technology or must be in the third year of their bachelor's degree program.

The exam is conducted in eight different engineering disciplines, namely: civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, electronics and communication engineering, computer science and information technology, instrumentation engineering, chemical engineering, and engineering science.

The GATE exam is considered to be a benchmark for engineering education in India and is widely recognized by top engineering colleges and public sector units. Many engineering colleges and universities in India use GATE scores as a key criterion for admission to their postgraduate programs in engineering. In addition, many public sector units use GATE scores to select candidates for their engineering positions.

WHY WRITE GATE EXAM?

One of the main benefits of appearing for the GATE exam is that it helps students to improve their analytical and problem-solving skills. This helps students to develop their analytical skills and enables them to approach problems in a logical and systematic manner.
